I really love the entire book and how it unfolds. Its dark and sexy. I certainly didn't expect some of the things that happened. She explains how and why the Krinar are on Earth so amazingly that's its insanely convincing.  Close Liaisons is not a happily-ever-after ending type of book. The sex is well paced and direct vs flowery. It fits perfectly with the characters and the world she created. I was really amazed with this book! The use of science in it is a bit of a mix of real world and future possibilities. Krinar technology is wickedly thought out. There's even a few small mentions of Vampires in this book. Not in the way we think of them. LOL. Well sorta, but you'll have to read the book to find out about it. =) It's HOT!

Mia had her own idea of how her life would turn out. She was in a for a surprise when a sexy alien named Korum finds her to his liking! Mia knows regardless of how she may or may not really feel it's made clear that she is stuck with Korum until he tires of her. Who does she believe? The resistance? Or an ultra sexy alien man who's been nothing but nice to her? Sure he's demanding but he has been nice. If you can call it that. I like how she isn't sure who she should trust and how she just keeps carrying on.  I wanted to yell at her for some of her choices along the way. Some of them I wanted to be her friend and cheer her on too.

Korum’s powerful, extremely sexy, and intelligent. We get small pieces that clue us in on just how intelligent Korum is as the story unfolds. I didn't know if I liked him or hated him until the very end. And to be honest I'm still on the fence about him. But at the end of book 1 I can say I like him more then I hate him. I find him intriguing.

Some readers will find Mia's situation isn't all that bad. Others could be completely put off by it. You could call their first act of intercourse as a warped version of rape. I myself don't see it that way at all. Korum doesn't really force her to do anything. I do get the feeling that he would have no problem forcing a human to do what he wants.  Give it a chance and form your own opinion on this wonderfully written and thought out story. This book is definitely a HOT sexy read! Bottom line its a new edgy erotic Sci-fi paranormal romance that I absolutely love and eagerly wait for  Close Obsession. Will Mia ever find her a happily-ever-after? I have no idea. But I certainly want to join her on her journey and hope some you join us on it.

“So, Mia, tell me about yourself.” His softly spoken directive interrupted her thoughts.

“Um, okay.” For some reason, the question flustered her. “What do you want to know?”

He shrugged and smiled. “Everything.”

“Well, I’m a junior at NYU, majoring in psychology,” Mia began, hoping she wasn’t babbling. “I’m originally from a small town in Florida, and I came to New York to go to school.”

He stopped her with a shake of his head. “I know all that. Tell me something more than basic facts.”

Mia stared at him in shock, suddenly feeling like a hunted rabbit. With surprising calm, she asked, “How do you know all this?”

“The same way I knew where to find you today. It’s very easy to find information on humans, especially those with nothing to hide.” He smiled, as though he hadn’t just shattered all of her illusions about privacy.

“But why?” Mia could no longer hold back a question that had been tormenting her for the last two days. “Why are you so interested in me? Why go to all these lengths?” She waved her hand, indicating the limo and everything he had done so far.

He looked at her steadily, his gaze nearly hypnotizing in its intensity. “Because I want to fuck you, Mia. Is that what you’re afraid of hearing, why you’ve been acting so scared of me all along?”
