 Raine is having her world turned every which way. She lost her father and has no idea if he's alive or dead. Her mother is always busy with work but tries her best to be there for her. Her best friend and ex next door neighbor just starts to take their relationship to the next level. Yet, she's attracted to the new neighbor Torin and doesn't want to disappoint or hurt Eric or her other BFF. 

Torin is... Wow! Haha, he's hot and mostly wise, yet he's got his hands tied because of his job. And I can't really say much about it without really giving away all the magic you should explore about him yourself. 

Ednah does an amazing job with provoking a feeling I long forgot. I too had my own Eric and all our friends and even us thought we should be together and it would last forever. But is it really that kind of love? How do you explain that without hurting everyone including yourself?  It's certainly it's own type of love. And she completely goes for it and it's perfectly expressed in the writing.

The characters and the world she builds are thought provoking and mystifying. I love how she weaves in myth and magic into their tale. I've always been a huge fan of mythology and it's what drew me to paranormal romances when I was young. This my not be one of my naughty books but it is certainly sweet, exciting, and worth the read. I can't wait for book 2!

Synopsis:

But the closer she gets to the truth the more she uncovers something sinister about Torin. What Torin is goes back to an ancient mythology and Raine is somehow part of it. Not only is she and her friends in danger, she must choose a side, but the wrong choice will cost Raine her life.

EDNAH WALTERS grew up reading Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys and dreaming of one day writing her own stories. She is a stay-at-home mother of five humans and two American short-hair cats (one of which has ADHD) and a husband. When she is not writing, she’s at the gym doing Zumba or doing things with her family, reading, traveling or online chatting with fans.
